The Indirect Relationship Manager maintains, increases, and develops dealer participation in the Credit Union's indirect auto lending program. Responsible for driving business results by expanding the credit union’s indirect auto loan portfolio through effective relationship building. Work closely with key dealer staff to enhance relations by providing exceptional service and support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The position’s essential duties include the following:

  • Maximize pipeline opportunities by generating quality auto loan applications.
  • Develop and implement a successful strategy for sustained business development.
  • Promote the credit union brand, identify new growth opportunities, and recognize relevant trends in both established and developing markets.
  • Sell Andrews Federal Credit Union as a viable financing source.
  • Maintain quality service standards set by the organization.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies to increase dealer participation
  • Marketing and promoting the credit union’s auto lending program.
  • Conduct face to face meetings with auto dealer key personnel.
  • Manage dealer relationships to achieve loan volume objectives and goals.
  • Develop and utilize reports to track indirect dealer business activity.
  • Monitor key metrics including originations, approvals, and close ratios. Provide dealer activity reports to management.
  • Provide world-class service to all internal and external clients.
  • Maintain current dealer database, and identify and pursue new dealer partnerships to expand our dealer network.
  • Conduct periodic due diligence to ensure that dealers comply with credit union policies and standards.
  • Educate, follow-up, and provide ongoing feedback to dealer staff in order to maintain production expectations.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Andrews Federal Credit Union’s products and services so that accurate information is provided to current and new dealer partners.
  • Assist in the coordination of special events, promotional and quality assurance activities including but not limited to onsite and offsite car sales. Conduct on-site membership sign-ups and cross-selling products and services.
  • Maintaining frequent contact with vendor (CUDL).
  • Participate in BSA/AML compliance training as assigned. Adhere to credit union BSA/AML policy and procedures, including CTR rules and form preparation, identify and refer suspicious activity to the Compliance Department, perform OFAC comparisons, and properly identify individuals in accordance with Branch Operations procedures.
  • Assist with duties relating to the credit union’s other auto programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to Andrews Federal policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in sales or marketing position(s) with a proven track record of successfully achieving goals.
  • Possess excellent customer relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide demographic of clients.
  • Strong sales, presentation, organization, interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well independently.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Use of a personal driver's license
  • Knowledge of dealership operations, sales, and indirect lending or business development strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours and required to travel to various dealership sites to meet with clients.
