SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial systems throughout the facility along with performing basic maintenance tasks and completing project work while maintaining safe working conditions and following prescribed safety practices both independently and in a team environment. This includes updating and completing preventative maintenance tasks on various equipment and within ERP system
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
· Troubleshoot, maintain, install, repair, and rebuild machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
· Responsible for general building and facility upkeep to include maintaining and performing preventive on heating, electrical, and plumbing systems as necessary.
· Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties. Make recommendations to production supervisor or lead about recourse, when appropriate.
· May rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
· Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
· Accountable for completing and turning in work order for all assigned or emergency repairs.
· May make fabrications using sheet metal, torch, plasma, press brakes, saws, shears, and welding skills.
· Ensures maintenance areas are kept clean throughout the shift and communication is relayed between shifts.
· Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct daily maintenance repairs within the standards of OSHA, HFPA, utilizing PPE as required.
· Identify required replacement parts and submit purchase orders for approval
· Identify, communicate, and support contract maintenance resources as required
· Attend and complete OEM training classes to enable support production equipment as required
· Other duties as assigned or required
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
· High school diploma or equivalent and working knowledge of shop mathematics.
· At least three years of diverse generalist experience working as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician.
· Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fabrication/welding, troubleshooting, wiring, and repair required. Familiarity with machine tools required.
· Ability to read detailed mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and elementary electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
· Possess a thorough understanding of LOTO, equipment files and manuals, ISO maintenance procedures, MRO parts ordering, parts storage, and inventory.
· Good verbal and written communication skills as they pertain to dealing with and understanding employee machine malfunction concerns or issues, and documenting job progress in logs.

· Journeyman status in a maintenance trade is a plus but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to craw into tight areas within machine tools. Must be able to climb 23 inches and 20 ladder rungs.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
