Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Push cart of panels to machine/follow Zone integrity.
• Remove panel from stack and position with flange under sewing machine foot.
• Check ticket for sizing and measure panel
• Activate machine and sew flange to panel and overcast edge in one operation around perimeter of panel.
• Insert and sew in legal label and production ticket on every other panel. Mark ID on tickets
• As required: add thread, roll of flange material, replace needles, oil machine, fix thread breaks and aside scrap.
• Observe stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly and check panel before and after sewing for flaws in materials and stitching
• Notify production supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area

Functional/Technical Competencies

• Must stand at sewing machine however may walk as needed
• Must be able to lift to 20lbs
• Produce at level to maintain integrity of Make-To-Order System

Experience/Education

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Basic English, Reading/Writing Skills
• High School graduate or Equivalent / GED
• Previous sewing machine experience in an industrial environment preferred however will train.

Job Factors/Work Environments

Requires working at a minimum of 100% efficiency level. Work is repetitious and involves lifting product (up to 50lbs) on a regular basis. Work involves exposure to usual hazards found in a manufacturing environment
