Aspen Leaf Preschool is a Reggio-inspired preschool that was founded in 2012 by a preschool teacher. Our goal is to create a community where teachers and families work together to support the development of the young children in their care. We have small class sizes, low student/teacher ratios, and a supportive and collaborative work environment. Aspen Leaf has locations in Hillcrest, North Park, University Heights, and Downtown San Diego. We are currently looking to hire a fully qualified infant teacher to work at our University Heights school. In order to be considered, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Must have at least 12 post-secondary semester units in early childhood education from an accredited college or university. The units specified must cover child growth and development; child, family, and community; program/curriculum; and infant/toddler curriculum.
• Experience: At least 6 months of previous early childhood teaching experience required. Reggio experience preferred but not necessary.
• Personal Qualities: Must be friendly, inviting, self-motivated, even-tempered, and adaptable.
• Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have current TB test
• Criminal Justice Background Check/ Fingerprint Clearance
• Must have strong computer and equipment skills
• Must have current first aid and CPR certification
