Job Duties

The Ohio Lottery Commission supports teleworking as a work model for employees. Telework can improve an employee’s work/life balance and increase employee productivity. This position is eligible for hybrid work pursuant to the Ohio Lottery Commission’s Teleworking Policy, which incorporates both telework and in-office work days. If approved, the successful candidate will be required to comply with the requirements established in the Ohio Lottery Commission’s telework agreement and policy.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who will perform Ohio Lottery daily drawings. Important qualities we are seeking include an understanding of computer systems, the ability to follow checklists, and excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Follows checklists and procedures to conduct lottery drawings.
  • Assists in monitoring the internal control functions for lottery drawings to ensure accuracy of sales and winner data.
  • Accurately enters winning lottery numbers into the Ohio Lottery Gaming System.
  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of reports related to sales, winners and drawing operations.
  • Ensures that winning numbers are updated on the Ohio Lottery Website and Interactive Voice Response system.
  • Assists in remediation of issues that arise and escalates as needed.
  • Participates in developing checklists.
  • Performs other duties and works on special projects.

Normal working hours are 6:00 pm-3:00 am. Variable full-time permanent schedule. Five 8-hour days will be scheduled Sunday-Saturday, including holidays.

Qualifications


2 courses in computer science or information systems.

-OR 6 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: computers &/or electronics and/or in telecommunications performing routine analysis, programming, installation, maintenance and/or systems support, solving problems with pre-determined methods on basic hardware or software including experience providing customer support.

-OR equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
