As an IT Business partner for New Growth Vectors (NGV) in Torrance, CA, you will be part of the IT Engineering organization, reporting directly to Head of IT Engineering & Development Excellence. This role is responsible for partnership with New Growth Vector domains (Electrical Center of Excellence or eCOE & related product lines) to establish product development and validation processes & systems, including ASPICE2 validation, laying robust IT foundations, including toolsets for product development and release. You shall understand the future state of NGV in Garrett and contribute towards NPI 2.0, working closely with process and business stakeholders. The role includes ownership of related IT landscape, resources and costs for NGV. Strong collaboration with broader IT organization in terms of security, infrastructure, SW development, EA and Data excellence teams, with aim to optimize costs and rationalize complexity. Responsible for IT activities for the site, including co-ordination with broader teams, needed for certification (such as TISAX and others).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and efficient systems solutions to uphold Garrett IT strategy
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and establish partnership, effectively communicating progress, decision-making processes, and prioritization.
    • Frequent business impact related communication in case of service disruptions
    • Create business communications, share IT risk and contingency plans with eCOE & NGV business stakeholders
  • Tackle complex business issues and offer innovative solutions. Develop clear business communications, present IT risk assessments and contingency plans to relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by exchanging lessons learned and best practices across programs
  • Partner with process champions & Enterprise Architecture, to build NPI 2.0 landscape with processes beneath it, including ASPICE2
  • Influence stakeholders and collaborate with System Engineering teams for product development using MBSE methods and tools

People leadership & Organizational / Capability Development

  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders and IT.
  • Drive organizational change and transformation initiatives by leveraging industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement to support the eCOE/NGV business
  • Continuously manage the performance of direct reports and teams to ensure optimal results.
  • Drive High Performance culture within IT and with business stakeholders

Service Operations & Efficiency

  • Actively coordinate all phases of project from concept, project planning, development, execution, monitoring to project closure
  • Drive change management and be key in implementing change in the organization
  • Manage all tools and systems used by eCOE/NGV, including capacity planning, Data Loss Prevention hosting etc.
  • Solid and value-based management of in scope resources and financials
  • Active management and mitigation of technology related risks, track security and compliance-related KPIs and metrics, and assist with reporting on those metrics to stakeholders
  • Measure adoption of standard development practices using KPI's for software development, manage tools stack with optimization, reduced technical debt and overachieve on AOP targets
  • Collaborate with extended IT teams (Dev Excellence, Data Excellence) to lay foundations for V-model product development, including collaboration with Simulation Automation team
  • Build and structure lessons learned with global Knowledge Management initiatives for eCOE/NGV into relevant systems

Site IT Leader

  • Developing and execute overall IT/Digital strategy in alignment with business strategy, ensuring AOP and STRAP targets are met and the site is supported
  • Be the voice of IT for the site and help co-ordinate efforts with IT Infrastructure leader at site/remote for effective IT operations and sustainability, ensuring high availability of applications
  • Representing IT organization within the Site Management, member of TAM Site Leadership
  • Managing / maintaining the IT “Risk Assessment” for the site

REQUIRED BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's OR Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • At least 10-12 years of experience in the field of SDLC, project management, and execution.
  • Significant experience with large engineering enterprise systems, especially in definition and implementation (minimum 5-7 years.)
  • Experienced (3-5 years) with cloud-based systems and architecture in terms of integrating on cloud – AWS and others (SFDC)
  • Strong business partnership and collaboration skills, in terms of understanding the need and translating them to IT solutions, including influencing business stakeholders in alignment with Garrett IT strategy
