The duties and responsibilities as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) GS-2210-14 generally include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) providing network and computer security and risk management planning.
- Lead the implementation of projects to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities, with a focus on ensuring wireless communication systems provide consistent, secure transmissions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of security policies, including incident response, identity management, and insider threat prevention and detection.
- Investigate and analyze risk that may lead to the suspension of operations, denial of user access, or unauthorized access to DOJ information and communication systems.
- Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports; prepares statistical reports, technical and operational assessments, incident reports, proposals for improvements, and formal technical Change Requests.

Qualifications

- Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as providing end-to-end IT project management and support of IT systems and infrastructure (Azure government cloud, Cisco networking, endpoint security, monitoring and reporting, etc.)
