How will you make an impact in this role?
Contributes to analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements. Supports the design, build, improvement and integration of infrastructure required to support the business portfolio or infrastructure platform in terms of robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency. Supports initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions that enforce to Technology standards.
- Plan, assign and manage efficient usage of Operational Support resources for the duration of the development life cycle, across multiple development groups
- Manages break/fix, incident and problem activities across the team
- Manages Engineers and/or Performance Analysts in the local market team
- Monitors, controls and reports Operational Support expenditure throughout the development life cycle
- Central point of contact for business/development groups or vendors requiring assistance in resolving problems
- Directs Operations resources in the resolution/prevention of problems where necessary. Prevention includes ensuring the proper performance monitors are in place for critical applications
- Enforces production assurance practices
- Facilitates the use of technical subject matter expert capability to promote design of technical solutions/improvements
- Assists in quality assessments by supporting quality rating measures on key changes
- Contributes to the development of policies and procedures for the production and service support function
- Delivers ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years engineering experience in a mainframe environment.
- Experience with design and implementation of mainframe and distributed applications
- 2+ years experience with mainframe infrastructure, hardware and operating systems.
- 2+ years monitoring problems, change and incident queues, enforcing compliance with capability, root cause analysis and change quality targets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous work in an operations or support role
Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $135,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
