Job Summary

Ensure that Owensboro Community and Technical College employee’s skills are up to date by providing pedagogy training opportunities and technical support to faculty and staff. Assist faculty with developing effective use of instructional technologies and innovation in their teaching & learning processes. Assist faculty with Blackboard Ultra (or other LMS) course design and implementation. Provide support and administration for OCTC web applications and online initiatives.

Job Duties:

  • Train and assist faculty with creating innovative course development for in-person classes utilizing Blackboard Ultra and other online applications.
  • Assist faculty with pedagogy for in-person and on-line classes.
  • Design and develop online courses within Blackboard Ultra (LMS), with faculty input, that meets KES requirements.
  • Actively look for innovative ways to teach & learn, sharing best practices, and training others.
  • Implement, train, and provide technical support to faculty and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Education Communications, Human Resources Training & Development, or Technical Writing) plus two years of relevant work experience or the equivalent combination of Education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft software, Blackboard or other CMS, web development, and multimedia presentation preferred.

Additional Skills Requested:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • High level of customer service is essential.
