Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
As Assistant Director of Spark, assist in all aspects of the Music Leadership Laboratory, including event planning, coordination with Marketing team, website and social media content creation, lending library management and guest artist coordination. Assist members of the Spark creative team, as needed, and oversee student workers and graduate assistants. Teach applied classical voice and applied contemporary commercial voice; other vocal arts-related instruction as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
Masters degree in Voice Performance or outstanding professional experience, or demonstrated contributions to the teaching discipline, is required. Outstanding written and oral communication skills are required, with experience in arts administration, marketing, communications, or a related field. The successful candidate will offer significant college-level teaching experience as well as a strong commitment to recruiting. The candidate should have a national and/or international presence performing classical, contemporary, and/or commercial music.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of body mechanics (yoga, Pilates, Feldenkrais), and be confident in working with, and teaching, dramatic methodologies such as Meisner and Stanislavsky to college-level singers.
