Position Description
This position is responsible for the preparation of Santee Cooper’s Integrated Resource Plan and the analysis of the risk/cost associated with each of the Plan’s solutions. Using advanced financial and economic principals, this position develops, analyzes, and prepares resource plan output, financial and other reports.
The position is responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated long-term resource planning model software.
This includes the implementation and testing of software updates and new software modules.
It is important for the person in this position to work well within the department as well as across all departments throughout the organization.
This position is expected to provide guidance and assign tasks to others.
Must be able to analyze and solve complex problems independently, effectively communicating difficult or sensitive information to various levels of management.
Essential Job Tasks:
Responsible for the timely development and analysis of resource planning studies which contain projections produced with information received from stakeholders throughout the company. Scenarios are performed on a regular basis to evaluate how proposed business/operational/regulatory changes will impact the resource plan. These responsibilities require an in-depth understanding of Santee Cooper’s generation, transmission and financial areas.
Responsible for all aspects of the capacity expansion software. Coordinate software upgrades, company user meetings and troubleshoots model input and output issues. Responsible for implementing and testing of new software updates and modules. Before making any changes to the model, this employee ensures that proposed model revisions handle all interdependencies within the model appropriately and that the processing efficiency and accuracy of the model is not compromised.
Support resource planning team with process automation ideas and implementation, such as SQL server queries and software scripting.

Financial Analyst III
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Math or a related field of study and +5 years experience required.
Compensation Information
$75,600-$94,490 (min.-mid.)
Financial Analyst II
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Math or a related field of study and +2 years experience required.
Compensation Information
$60,820-$76,020 (min.-mid.)
