Interim L&D Manager - 6 Months
Our client, a large-scale Irish organisation with circa 2,000 employees are working through a transformational change programme, and as a result have established a new HR leadership team. This next addition to the team will bring the HR department up to 30 team members.
This role will report into the Head of Learning & Capability and will have some management responsibilities (1-2 team members). The Senior L&D Manager will lead the delivery of strategic capability projects, in addition to designing and executing innovative and best practice organizational capability solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Understand business priorities, and leverage resources to implement learning programmes and initiatives
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to diagnose learning and organizational capability development needs
- Design, develop and deploy a portfolio of development strategies and initiatives
- Establish strong relationships with external partners to maintain excellent service levels and performance results.
- Work with relevant internal teams to identify and select new organizational development providers, establish contracts and on-board appropriately
- Design, lead and execute leadership and management development strategies and programs
- Create, develop, and implement progressive, high potential people programs
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and training providers
- Develop metrics to evaluate the impact of learning programs
- Design and deliver innovative organizational capability interventions through embracing innovative technology and practices. Leverage interactive technologies to engage and enhance learning, including learning management system, eLearning tools and collaboration platforms
- Develop programs that include multiple modalities and embed the 70:20:10 of learning: self-paced e-learning, virtual and face to face workshops and on the job learning activities
- Work with internal communications to ensure all organizational capability initiatives are communicated effectively to employees
- Forecast and manage costs effectively, always being cost conscious and delivering on budget
The successful candidate must have:
- Previous experience in a senior L&D/Capability focussed role
- Highly credible with hands on people management experience
- Experience in learning programme and project management
- Experience in vendor management

- Base salary: 88,000 - 93,000 DOE
