Job Title: Inventory Manager – DLA Barstow
Position Summary
The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the Acceptable Performance Levels (APLs) outlined in the contract.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on projected workload on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
- Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
- Conducts planning of current and future work schedules, providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as to the scheduling of projected work.
- Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract.
- Uses WMS and other Government Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock. Directs employees engaged in conducting WMS inventories, researching inventory discrepancies, and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance, and location surveys.
Physical Demands
- Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience shall include a minimum three (3) years of experience in inventory using WMS or equivalent automated WMS within the past five (5) years.
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong organizational and group presentation skills.
- Well-developed multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Must have computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Possess a Valid Drivers’ License without special restrictions.

- Must be a US citizen.
- Must undergo a background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
