We are looking for an IT Application Analyst who is team oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with local and or remote personnel at all levels across the organization to provide secure, reliable, and effective solutions.

· Under general supervision, participate in the cooperative research and planning efforts between business and technical teams to prepare design specifications from business function requirements for multiple assigned application systems.

· Lead and Coordinate IT and Business teams through technical change and track progress of the System Development Lifecycle as primary point of contact on an application.

· Implement and document application modifications and process optimization changes to accomplish objectives and meet diverse and complex business opportunities.

· Troubleshooting of application issues from a process perspective and participating in and coordinating teams towards resolution.

· Ability to work independently, proactively, and gain experience in additional application software solutions, business processes, and related IT technical skills.

· Use personal initiative and knowledge of application analysis to create technical specifications and provide end-user consultative support addressing a variety of system issues and business process requirements.

· Ability to use good judgment, attention to detail and persistence to perform incident review, resolve issues in a timely manner, document findings and lessons learned.

· Familiar with business and corporate goals, strategy, and service level concepts.

· Establish cooperative relationships with members of technical teams, business support teams and end users with effective communication ability with both technical and business teams.

· The position supports generation applications including those of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station. High regard for process and procedural adherence, attention to detail and trustworthiness are emphasized.

· Strong documentation skills to demonstrate system functional documents and flow diagrams to explain system workflow.

· Additional Work as Assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems) or 2 or more years of equivalent experience. Some programming or Database Query Language (SQL) knowledge is beneficial but not required for this position.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:

· Understanding of application processes, workflows, and architecture to effectively understand and document application functionality.

· Ability to manage multiple application assignments simultaneously.

· Ability to break down work tasks for agile and waterfall work management methods and tools such as Jira.

· Documentation visually of process and function using MS Visio

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
