Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst to join its Information Services Team at its company headquarters in Brookfield, WI. ORRM provides primary casualty insurance products to corporate and group insureds with complex risks. A pioneer in the alternative risk market since 1985, ORRM delivers innovative solutions and services that offer unparalleled flexibility to insurance program design and structure.

In general, the IT Business Analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

Essential duties for the role are as follows:

• Review business processes and identify opportunities and strategies to improve business efficiency.
• Document detailed business and functional requirements.
• Develop solutions and create design specifications for new products and product enhancements.
• Automate processes to continually reduce manual administrative functions across various departments.
• Work closely with business units to gain an in-depth understanding of business processes and identify operational, financial and technological risks.
• Document capabilities needed to address business challenges.
• Assistant project managers on large complex projects related to business functions.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of related Business Analyst experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working as an IT Business Analyst requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.
