Austin Energy’s Technology & Data seeks an IT Business Systems Analyst Senior to lead the Identity and Access Management (IAM) process by providing tactical leadership for the planning, building, delivery, and support of the IAM process.

This position will report to the IT Manager in the ServiceNow / Workday / SailPoint workgroup and provide support to the development, specifications, and communications of the IAM tool, as well as provide in-depth technical consultation to the business units and Tech & Data management and assist in developing plans and direction for the integration of IAM requirements. This position will work closely with the Enterprise Information Security office along with the rest of Tech & Data business unit departments.

Duties


Identify and Access Management Lead
  • Facilitates the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services to provide a strong IAM process that balances access with compliance and confidentiality according to existing AE regulatory and compliance policies
  • Identifies and evaluates complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement
  • Identifies the broader impact of current decisions related to user access, data access and information security.


Business Analysis
  • Aligns IAM processes across the organization, and develops and documents standards for organizational use
  • Envisions business outcomes and facilitates alignment with them
  • Understands business and information technology management processes and demonstrates advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards
  • Fosters an understanding of the need for and application of the IAM system, and facilitates decision making with the business users
  • Identifies opportunities to improve engagement with the business units

Fair Labor Standards Act:
This position is considered FLSA Exempt. Exempt employees are salaried and, except as provided, are not eligible for overtime compensation.

Supporting 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. activity – 40 Hour Work Week.
May work evenings, weekends or holidays. Schedule may change based on business need.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts such as single sign-on (SSO), data management, identity federation, enterprise directory architecture and design, including directory schema, directory services, namespace and replication topology experience, resource provisioning, ITIL, and process integration.
  • Experience with role-based access control, access request and certification, user life cycle management processes, and organizational change management.
  • Understanding or knowledge of IAM concepts including federation, authentication, authorization, access controls, access control attacks, identity and access provisioning life cycle.
  • Understanding or knowledge of web security standards, architecture, web security best practices and application security best practices.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical architecture of integrating identity management, access management and access governance software with infrastructure and applications.
  • Ability to travel to more than one work location.

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions to elicit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to potential IT solutions
  • Create more complex models, use cases, process flows, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to developers, designers, and vendors
  • Develop statement of work for use in requests for proposals
  • Evaluate compatibility and interoperability of commercial off-the-shelf or in-house technology systems
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Perform cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in making IT business decisions
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products and technology services to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
  • Write and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT applications across the organization
  • Coordinate and perform tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, training and other post-implementation support.
