What you'll need
- Team with IT & D leadership to develop and manage the talent management framework (based on SFIA)
- Create career paths and implement meaningful solutions through robust talent programs to activate the internal talent marketplace, fostering internal mobility, supporting key talent needs and succession plans for key positions in the organization
- Develop and maintain standard competencies, job descriptions and skill set for all IT&D roles
- Build and manage central database of role descriptions and other Talent Development collateral
- Support the full talent management lifecycle including the creation and monitoring of work-plans, delivery process, communications, measurement, and outcomes
- Develop and implement strategies on elevating the engagement of our workforce, which positively impacts team member retention
- Share learnings with stakeholders and leadership to continue to improve talent effectiveness
- Build upon the environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage in support of the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategic plan
- Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered (i.e. performance management, succession planning, workforce retention) to provide insight to leadership on talent decisions and targeted development programming
- Consult heavily with HR business partners, leaders, talent and learning team to ensure talent programs align with IT&D organizational needs
- Provide thought leadership, strategic planning, direction across all aspects of National Grid’s new talent strategic development programs
What you'll need
- 7+ years of experience in the IT & Digital talent space (technology skills and competencies)
- Strong work and personal ethics, planning and organizational skills, & attention to detail
- Ability to think critically and work independently, when necessary
- You've effectively worked with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams
- You take the initiative to look for opportunities to drive change in talent processes and programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel for data analysis and SharePoint for content management and branding
- Experience with talent management tools in most HCM software (SAP, Oracle etc.).
- Solid technical aptitude with the ability to learn new software quickly such as Jira and Jira Align and Talent Management tools
- You have strong presentation, facilitation, coaching and consultative skills

Salary
$107,000 - $151,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
