Are you a final year degree student or recent graduate from an IT course who is looking to gain experience in a fast paced, busy retail environment in which you will be required to use your initiative and drive to quickly resolve problems? Then we would love to hear from you. Our IT team is looking to recruit an IT Helpdesk Support Technician. The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic, a quick thinker who has excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with people across the business.

IT Helpdesk support work on our IT Team based in the Arnotts Head Office. This is a full time position including weekends. This is a specific purpose contract.

  • Provide technical support to all business users regarding operating systems, networks, hardware and software
  • Installation of hardware and peripheral components within the organisation – PC’s, registers and other devices
  • Setup and configuration of software, operating systems, business applications and other office tools
  • Speedy resolution of issues
  • Use of call logging tools, documentation, updates and feedback
  • Communicating with all users in the organisation – Sales floor, Back Office and Warehouse

KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Client Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of Active Directory User and Server Administration
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of Software and versions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
  • Troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN/wireless technologies
  • Basic Retail and POS knowledge
  • Knowledge of CRM
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent customer/user awareness and service skills
  • Knowledge of Server based Backup Hardware and Software
  • Knowledge of Anti-Virus & Anti Spyware Security
  • Knowledge of mobile phone operating systems
  • Some project IT work (as and when required)
