Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking an IT Manager to join our team in Plainville, CT.

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT operations of the organization. The successful candidate will ensure our technology infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and secure while ensuring the delivery of high quality IT services to our staff and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
• Leading IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
• Monitoring performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
• Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
• Analyzing business needs presented by users and recommend technical solutions with the completion timeline
• Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures, including network security policies, disaster recovery plans, and software licensing policies.
• Evaluating and implementing new technologies, software applications, and hardware infrastructure to improve our IT operations and support our business goals.
• Overseeing the deployment and management of IT systems, including servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
• Developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the firm's digital assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff members, and overseeing the resolution of IT-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations to senior management on how to integrate new technology into our operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 5 plus years of experience in an IT management role.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and security.
• Familiar with risk management principles and able to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Strong technical background.
• Strong focus on customer service and be able to respond to user needs and concerns effectively.
• Ability to plan and organize projects and allocate resources.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to align technology initiatives with the organization’s goals and objectives.
