This role is a management level appointment reporting to the Senior IT and Operations Risk Business Partner and offers the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of FBD’s Risk Management Framework. Operating within the First Line of Defence, you will work closely with Senior Management Team colleagues and play a key role in embedding a strong risk culture in the Company and ensuring IT risks are efficiently identified and addressed. You will have proven IT risk and control experience with strong problem solving and influencing skills. The role is based in Head Office, Dublin 12.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for embedding a strong IT risk culture in the department.
• Ensuring IT risks are efficiently identified and addressed.
• Oversight and provision of guidance on IT and operations control identification and specification.
• Oversight of Risk Mitigation Plans.
• Completing quarterly Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA).
• Regular reporting on IT risk and control matters.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture through the development and roll out of appropriate and tailored training for staff.
• Oversight of the implementation of new Regulatory requirements relevant to IT and Operations.
• Managing and co-ordinating responses to risk, compliance and/or regulatory queries and action plans.

Job Responsibilities

• Provision of a single point of contact for IT Risk reviews.
• Completing operational risk assessments as part of strategic initiatives.
• Assistance of First Line audit readiness to support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, advice and direction to the IT and Operations teams on risk management matters.
• Provide input to annual capacity planning to ensure that risk and compliance support is adequately resourced within the IT function.

Education

• Minimum 5 years + relevant IT Risk & Controls or IT Audit experience.
• Ideally Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
• A relevant Third level qualification.

Experiences

• General Insurance or Financial Services experience desirable.
• RCSA experience in a General Insurance or Financial Services environment desirable.
• Strong experience in the identification and management of IT risk and controls.
• Strong knowledge of the IT regulatory environment including IT Security, Cloud, Data Privacy and Operational Resilience.
• Exposure to delivery of IT services in a technical role desirable.
