As part of the Workstation Support team, this position provides computer workstation configuration, maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and technical support for AECC/AECI personnel. - Follows procedures with oversight to install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot computer workstations, monitors, printers, and related hardware and software.
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding computer workstation problems and records incidents into the tracking application.
- Documents instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal, according to defined procedures.
- Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources to aid in problem resolution.
- Assists in the management and tracking of computer hardware and software assets. Follow defined procedures for the deployment, transfer, retirement, and disposal of workstation assets.
- Provide helpdesk support to member cooperative employees as directed.
- Provide systems operation support for cooperative IT services and work as part of a team to assign and resolve incidents and service requests.
- Participates in the monitoring of corporate networks, ticketing, consumer contact, and assisting in any Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as a team member to meet contractual obligations.
- Supports and monitors the statewide network, both datacenters connectivity, and follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the TSOC/NOC when assigned.
- Identifies, establishes, and distributes the escalation of tickets to appropriate System or Network Admins, or others as identified within SOPs.
- The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential for this position.
- High School Diploma or GED, plus at least 12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The continuous operation of AECC/AECI's computing systems and networks may require this position to work various shifts. Travel as required to provide support to staff at remote locations.
