Job description

We are looking for a jeweler with a fully equipped workshop within reasonable distance of the Tysons Corner Center and a flexible schedule who can contractually take on general repair and sizing projects for wholesale pricing.

Typically the work will include :

• sizing rings up or down
• re-shanking
• soldering/unsoldering rings
• sourcing and setting peg heads for a variety of diamond sizes (.5ct-6ct range)
• setting diamonds (must have knowledge to set common diamond shapes)
• re-tipping/fixing prongs (14K-18K yellow and white gold, platinum)
• tightening diamonds
• rhodium plating
• Engraving
• earring post/back repairs (threaded backs, and friction backs)
• general bracelet and chain repairs

Qualifications:

• Fully equipped workshop
• Reliably able to complete jobs on agreed upon timeframes
• Trustworthy
• CAD/custom ability a big bonus
• minimum 2 years bench jeweler experience with portfolio.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $10.00 - $120.00 per hour
