Job description
We are looking for a jeweler with a fully equipped workshop within reasonable distance of the Tysons Corner Center and a flexible schedule who can contractually take on general repair and sizing projects for wholesale pricing.
Typically the work will include :
- sizing rings up or down
- re-shanking
- soldering/unsoldering rings
- sourcing and setting peg heads for a variety of diamond sizes (.5ct-6ct range)
- setting diamonds (must have knowledge to set common diamond shapes)
- re-tipping/fixing prongs (14K-18K yellow and white gold, platinum)
- tightening diamonds
- rhodium plating
- Engraving
- earring post/back repairs (threaded backs, and friction backs)
- general bracelet and chain repairs
Qualifications:
- Fully equipped workshop
- Reliably able to complete jobs on agreed upon timeframes
- Trustworthy
- CAD/custom ability a big bonus
- minimum 2 years bench jeweler experience with portfolio.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $10.00 - $120.00 per hour
