Overview:
Licensed Practical Nurses function under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations. The LPN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family. The LPN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes. The LPN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Schedule: 8am-5pm (Monday thru Friday)

Responsibilities:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) duties include:
Delivers nursing care according to the standards of care defined within the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and the policies and procedures of The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus.
Clearly communicates, both orally and in writing, to foster staff and patient understanding of treatment plan.
Provides quality customer service to patients, families, co-workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to create a professional and respectful environment.
Accountable for self and self-actions:
Engages in self-evaluation of practice and takes action to improve knowledge and skills.
Promotes consensus building and applies techniques of conflict resolution and conduct improvement.
Retains accountability for quality of care given to the patient.
Qualifications:
Requirements Licensed Practical Nurse:
Licensed Practical Nurse degree
Kansas State Board of Nursing LPN licensure
Basic Life Certification
Preference will be given to prior experience in comparable health care setting
Basic computer skills
