Jr. Buyer – Accounts Reconciliations Technician

  • Hybrid role, 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Responsibilities:

  • Re-rent and operations sourcing, procurement and supplier managementCompetitively quote and select qualified vendors for re-rent, and operations goods and services. Selections should be based on technical capability, price, location, quality, financial status, and commercial terms and conditions.

Productivity: identify and implement cost reduction/productivity projects to meet the business initiatives/goals. Maintain pipeline and financial records for reporting and tracking productivity.
Audit purchase orders to ensure proper usage, amounts, and cost transfers.
Resolve any invoice disputes with assistance from facility where dispute occurred / requester that submitted the PO where the dispute occurred.
Maintain approved/qualified vendor lists for key operations requirements (Ex: Generator maintenance, fuel vendors, etc.)
Work with Fulfillment team/DRS team for equipment demands.

  • Inventory Management:Ensure up-to-date ABC classification is maintained for planning.

Ensure optimal inventory levels and safety stock are maintained for their parts.
Maintain proactive shortage identification and management.
Analyze material and capacity availability.
Coordinating Updated Part Numbers & Pricing in ERP.
Monitor the flows of buy items, guarantee availability of components in order to avoid material shortages and production downtime.

  • Work with team members and Operational Excellence stakeholders to identify and work with key metrics that will drive sustainable improvement in daily tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and metrics, including processing of invoices, purchase orders, and addressing invoice holds or other issues.
  • Work with team members on active agreement spreadsheets, invoicing issues, supplier questions, scheduled payments, etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned in coordination to drive improved procurement efforts.

Requirements:

  • B.S./B.A. (Business, or Engineering) preferred – open to non-degreed candidates with strong AP or Accounts Reconciliations experience
  • Relevant industry certification is preferred, e.g. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in sourcing/supply chain field
  • Experience in procurement processes, technology and systems, contract and supplier analysis and management, financial analysis, market analysis, strategic planning and integrated supply chain.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Lean / Six Sigma or Equivalent experience
  • Strong Work Ethic and a Commitment to Excellence and Data-Driven Decision Making

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
