Eravant is high performing tech company looking for a Jr. Machinist to join our fast-growing team! The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity. The successful candidate is able to thrive in a fast paced/tight deadline environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Set up the manual and CNC machinery for the operation
• Repair or modify any mechanical related parts or components.
• Use all general machining tools and equipment, manual or CNC machines to perform any machining related work.
• Verifying conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools.
• Thoroughly inspect first article run.
• Make the machining fixtures to improve the machinability and productivity.
• Follow the company operation and quality procedures.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good order so that the machine shop is ready to support the production needs all time.
• Ensure work areas are kept neat, clean, and organized per company guidelines
• Observe the company's safety and ESD regulations.
• A track record of being consistent with attendance and prompt arrival at work.
• Performs other duties and/or specific projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Must have working knowledge of computer aided machining (CAM), with 3-5 years of continuous experience.
• Must be able to read and understand industry and standard drawings.
• Ability to use caliper, micrometer, and optical comparator etc. measurement tools to ensure the dimensions of the machined part meet the drawing specifications.
• Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.
• Knowledge of basic machine language, including M-codes and G-codes is a plus.
• Knowledge of manual machining operations like milling machine, lathe, bandsaw, grander, drill press, etc. Knowledge of CNC programming is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Ability to lift and/or move by pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Must have basic computer skills and ability to communicate electronically.
• Be able to use both written and spoken English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
