Junior level IT Systems Admin role with a company that develops cutting-edge IoT technologies. 1-2 years of experience in IT support/Systems admin, Linux OS and scripting experience needed.
We are recruiting a junior level Systems Admin for a company that develops cutting-edge IoT and cloud services solutions for smart energy management. They are driving forward innovation in the renewable energy and smart home automation sectors and are supported by a parent company that is one of the world’s leading solar panel and smart energy companies. This role is based in their Limerick office but the company can facilitate working from home a couple of days a week, if required.
This role is based on the DevSecOps team and along with IT support, you will gain exposure to researching, configuring, monitoring and trouble-shooting operating systems, networks for applications and the company’s customer platform. Your main responsibilities will include managing user accounts and access levels, configuring computers and systems for new employees, providing desktop support, monitoring network configuration and performance, monitoring cloud systems, and collaborating with colleagues on teams in other countries.
Applicants for this role should have:
- Ideally a degree in computing, computer engineering or similar technical area
- 1-2 years of recent experience in IT Support/Systems Admin, including desktop, operating systems and application support
- A strong understanding of Linux operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript
- An understanding of system and network architecture
- Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins, DNS, ACLS and VPNS would be an advantage to have
- Fluent written and spoken English
