Person Profile

The Employee will be employed as Junior Operational Buyer within the Purchase IVA Department and reporting directly to the Procurement Department Manager or his/her delegate.


Key Elements of the Role:

Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to the following:

  • Purchase material and services based on system requirements and LCC production programme.
  • General administration of all related processes, e.g. purchase orders, subcontract operations, sales orders, order confirmations, receipting, invoicing and stock adjustments.
  • Maintain and update related item data within the MRP system.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations to establish commercial agreements.
  • Monitor, analyse and optimise supplier delivery performance (Quantity, delivery dates), liaise with suppliers in case of discrepancies.
  • Update delivery dates and escalate late deliveries.
  • Process claims in relation to order quantity, delivery dates and packaging in cooperation with Quality Department and Goods Receiving Department.
  • Analyse purchasing KPI’s to reduce cost, ensure availability of parts, reduce inventory levels.
  • Prepare proper reporting and presentations to support Management decisions.
  • Identify internal and external stakeholder business needs, provide solutions and minimise risks.
  • Other ancillary duties associated with the position.


Qualifications / Requirements / Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years Purchasing experience desirable.
  • Qualification in purchasing administration/supply chain/logistics would be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated with good organisational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, reporting skills and strong attention to detail.
  • IT skills: ERP, Microsoft office suite.
  • Advanced skills with formulas and complex financial spreadsheets in MS Excel.
