My client is looking to hire an experienced KDB Developer to join their team. You’ll join a growing team responsible delivering pricing algorithms for all their low latency products, their algorithms for fully electronic trading books. Execution algorithms for their clients, dealer to dealer trading capabilities for traders and analytics required to analyse and manage these capabilities

This team is responsible for the development and support of all their algorithmic capabilities for all their low latency products. These businesses rely on data drive decisions so having a solid data capture, storage, and access platform is essential. They use cutting edge technology and infrastructure to achieve the throughput and reliability required by the business. The business and technology teams are global with presence around the globe.

Position Overview

They are looking for software engineer to lead the data capture, storage, and access team where kdb is the core technology. The individual will be responsible for the overall design and implementation of the system as well as managing junior developers. The ideal candidate has the following skillsets and experience.

· 3 - 5 years kdb experience

· Experience in other object oriented programming languages (Java, C++…)

· Experience designing and implementing reliable, stable, and performant kdb systems

· Demonstrated experience in hands-on development and deployment of various kdb components into production environments

· Including work on feed handlers, ticker plants, RDB/HDB, end of day failover, gateways/load balancing, and permissions

· Superior analysis and debugging skills in support of active production data systems

· Works well in an Agile team setting and can manage juniors

· Can discuss problems and solutions with technologists, quants, trading business leads

· Familiar with current dev-ops tools and best practices. Examples: Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Artifactory

Permanent role. Dublin. Hybrid work available. You will be expected to attend the office a couple of times a month, and sometimes asked to come on an ad-hoc basis. Excellent salary – dependent on experience. Excellent Bonus and package available.
