We are looking for a Kennel Assistant to help care for our animals. The Kennel Assistant will be responsible for assisting the kennel attendant with daily animal care and clean-up tasks, including cleaning out dog runs and cages, feeding animals and assisting in the enrollment of new dogs. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and solid knowledge of animal husbandry.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and dry dog bedding.
• Feed pets on a scheduled basis.
• Clean up after pets using appropriate materials and equipment.
• Identify common health problems either by identifying symptoms or by routine physical examinations of pets.
• Monitor the general behavior of pets as they are being fed and/or groomed to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Ensure that all pets receive necessary immunizations before they are brought into the kennel.
• Inform clients of any potential health problems with their pet.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
