Position Overview

In order to further strengthen our Sales team in Ireland we are currently looking for a:

Key Account Manager Large Accounts

(Dunboyne, Ireland)


The remit of the role is to ensure the company’s growth in terms of sales, profits & customers base in the Large accounts channel (Industry/Retail/Foodservice and Semi-Industry) by:

  • Developing, leading and executing the Large Account strategy for the Island of Ireland (NI + ROI) in line with the Irish Long Range Plan and the group strategy.
  • Creating a strong long term partnership with the assigned key accounts.
  • Actively promoting the Group’s product lines.
  • Having a big impact in a small team with ambitious goals, a start-up attitude and a strong desire to promote Puratos’ innovative solutions in Health & Wellbeing and Sustainability.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, formulate and implement a development plan for key national accounts.
  • Work with cross functional teams to defend core existing business, increase account penetration and win new, profitable business in prospect and existing accounts. This will be achieved via both direct sales and via triangular approach working with large industry channel to deliver budgeted growth.
  • Create & maintain long term customer partnerships including senior level relationships at key accounts and with industry bodies.
  • Understand the customers’ manufacturing operation systems, processes and policies and define very well their needs.
  • Putting the customer at the centre of all activities and ensure proactive and fast reactive support on all types of problem solving at customers, together with the other members of the business development team.
  • Organize frequent customer meetings to develop the business. Organise regular multi-disciplinary status meetings (internally and with customer) to review the business.
  • Coordinate and/or Negotiate the sales deals with the customer (pricing, delivery conditions…)
  • Overall responsible for Total Profit & Loss of her/his accounts. Monitor sales results on a monthly basis and if necessary, implement corrective actions to ensure achievement of budgeted targets.
  • Project manage new product launches – in line with the large account sales process - from brief to launch ensuring internal and external stakeholder alignment. Keep a central customer project list up to date in CRM.
  • Strong collaboration with the group Business Units and LA Channel to ensure alignment with key product & channel priorities. Actively participate to global/regional account reviews and share best practices.

Required Competencies

  • Experience in B2B industry and/or large account management. If you have a strong network within the Irish food industry (industrials, retail, foodservice) it is a plus
  • In depth understanding of the sales process and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Academic degree and fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Have a Drivers’ License and be available to travel in Ireland
  • Be computer literate (Microsoft Office) and good understanding of CRM
  • Be open to flexible working hours
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Resilience, flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Self-motivated and able to drive projects autonomously
  • A strong drive to ‘do the right thing’ for the planet and future generations
