Job Title: Kitchen Steward

Job Summary:
Clean all dishes, pots and pans. Maintain storage area of pots, pans and dishes.
Specific Duties:
- Properly clean all pots, pans, dishes and small wares
- Maintain proper storage of pots, pans and dishes
- Correctly maintains the chemicals in dishwasher and 3 compartment sinks
- Safely unloads pans to be cleaned
- Help unload dirty dishes for washing
- Keep dishwasher and pot and pan storage areas clean, neat and safe
- Clean and maintain dish equipment and sinks on a daily basis
- Load and unload pallets safely
- Organize stock areas
- Other related duties as assigned
- Duties can also be grouped by job function
- Performs any other duties assigned by Kitchen Managers
- Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP’s Culture of Philanthropy, and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated *
- Volunteer engagement and appreciation, as well as Culture of Philanthropy participation are part of all job descriptions at SVdP, and a very important part of the organizational culture and values
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Food Handlers Sanitation Certification
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach and lift up to 50 pounds are required for this position
