LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Due to continuous growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team.


MAIN DUTIES


Reporting to the Assistant Research and Development Manager, the main duties of this role are as follows:


  • Manufacture of R&D trial batches for laboratory testing and customer evaluation.
  • Development and execution of analytical testing
  • Co-Ordinating stability programme and generation of stability protocols.
  • Sample preparation and dispatch for customer submission.
  • Co-Ordinate with external laboratories on development test samples
  • Assessment of new / alternative raw materials.
  • Inventory management (Raw materials and components)
  • Master formulation setup
  • Co-Ordinating research and development projects
  • Assisting with new product introduction (Commercial Scale Up)
  • Assisting with documentation relating to R&D functions
  • Document Control (Change Control, SOP’s, Manufacturing Batch records, Certificate of Analysis and Archiving)
  • Maintenance of the R&D documentation system.
  • Maintenance of the R&D laboratory (GMP, GLP and Lean Processes)
  • Perform other laboratory duties as assigned by the R&D Manager.

Qualifications: BSc Chemistry or equivalent Science degree


Experience:

  • Ideally 1 to 2 years experience working in a GMP/Laboratory Cleanroom environment or recent science graduate with an interest in developing their career in a manufacturing laboratory environment.
  • Manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
