The employee in this position performs work in maintaining the grounds and buildings at the SEVC.
Exterior (grounds) work includes snow removal, landscaping, keeping sidewalks and other areas clear, and operating the necessary equipment to perform these tasks. Interior (building) work includes assisting in carpentry functions, assisting in plumbing functions, replacing light bulbs and switches, and assisting other trade employees.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.- Work hours are 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Wednesday to Sunday, with 30-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of a PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Experience in commercial maintenance of buildings and equipment.
- Experience in commercial carpentry.
- Experience in plumbing and/or electrical.
- Experience with 3-phase wiring to include emergency generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, switch gears and 3-phase panels.
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration and/or HVAC systems.
- Experience with domestic hot water mixing valves, recirculating loops, aqua stats and instantaneous water heaters.
- Experience with the provisions of Life Safety Codes and Uniform Construction Code (UCC), as it relates to repairs of buildings.
- Structural experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings.
- Experience in the maintenance or repair of buildings at a long-term care facility.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act:
