Laborer

Perform tasks involving physical labor

• Gathers material to be ready for the daily work activities

• Clean/prepare/organize sites before and after daily activity to remove hazards and to set-up for their crew/other trades. NOTE: Will clean/organize throughout the workday as needed.

• Mop, brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions, or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection.

• Signal equipment operators to help with alignment, movement, adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.

• Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, or stucco through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces.

• Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.

• Keeps site clean & organized.

• Assist in loading unloading and stocking material when needed.

• Assists carpenters, framers, and other trades.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Prefer experience with drywall labor

• Must be able to safely and proficiently use all hand tools

• Willing/able to learn and follow instructions

• Able to carry, lift, pick up material, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Chapel Hill, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Construction laborer: 1 year (Required)
