Description: In this position, the employee will be responsible for providing esthetic treatments to a diverse group of patients. The primary role will be to perform laser hair treatments, provide skin care education, follow state sanitation regulations, clerical and office duties as well as being an emotional support person for each patient within the health center.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform laser hair treatments.
• Patient consultations.
• Inventory of all products.
• Make sure all sanitation regulations are followed.
• Create and update patient charts.
• Create patient treatment logs.
• Schedule treatments and make confirmation for appointment calls.
• Answer and return all patient and provider calls and emails.
• Mechanical maintenance for laser.
• Educate patients on skin health care.
• Purchase supplies for treatment room.
• Clean and maintain treatment room.
• Offer emotional support to all patients.

License Requirements:

• Active Certification from the State Medical Board of Ohio
• Laser Certification from Alma Lasers

Requirements:

• Experience in treating skin conditions.
• Ability to identify skin conditions.
• Have a thorough understanding of contraindications in a treatment setting.
• Education in patient counseling in a skin health setting.
• Have physical stamina and strength to operate laser and perform treatments.
• Have management and training experience in a skin health setting.
• An understanding of touch therapy, and the importance of when treating patients.
• An understanding and experience in sanitation.
• Ability to restock and organize a treatment room.
• Ability to create patient charts.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, Excel, Word and how to use Electronic Medical Records.
• Experience with patient centered care.
• Punctuality and impeccable attendance.
• Strong communication skills with both professionals and patients from all demographics.
• Non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Technical skills with required office equipment.
• Patience and great attention to detail.
• Completely understand the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA.
