Sentar is hiring a Lead DevSecOps Engineer in Orlando, FL!

Role Description:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the NCRC RM DevSecOps systems and processes. Focuses on software quality and proactively advocates for the development of secure and reliable software. Applies DevSecOps tools and concepts to deliver highquality, secure software at an aggressive tempo consistent with NCRC Enterprise requirements. Applies software engineering methodologies and software development technologies across the system lifecycle. Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on DevSecOps system design, implementation, integration, deployment, and sustainment. Continuously looks for opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of software development and deployment processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science, or a focus in computer and information sciences, engineering, mathematics, management information systems, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science topics.
• 10+ years of related, proven experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems comprising dozens of software configuration items.
• 3+ years of experience in cyber security or information security.
• 2+ years of hands-on DevSecOps experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
• Expert knowledge of software development methodologies, including agile development.
• Expert knowledge of automated software testing tools.
• Working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
• Expert knowledge of DevSecOps and requirements management.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies. Intermediate knowledge of Python and C/C++ development.
• Basic knowledge of PowerShell and POSIX shell scripting.
• Demonstrated ability to work within and lead teams.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of automated infrastructure configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with a focus in computer science.
• 15+ years of related, proven experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software systems comprising dozens of software configuration items.
• 7+ years of experience in cyber security or information security. Intermediate knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies.
• Experience developing web applications using web development frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of programming language theory, operating systems, networking, and enterprise IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage).
• Basic knowledge of software-defined networking and network function virtualization (NFV).
• Expert knowledge of automated infrastructure configuration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Experience building and/or maintaining complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and services (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, databases, web servers, etc.).
• Familiarity with cyber range tools, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and traffic generation.
• Experience working Government programs with controlled engineering baselines.
• Ability to effectively and accurately convey status and identify, assess, and communicate risks.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to express technical ideas to senior decision makers.
• Experience developing web applications using web development frameworks.
