Job Description

Aramark Property is currently recruiting for a LEAD MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for general reactive maintenance work serving the Aramark Property client portfolio .

Initially you will be tasked with a daily list of job tasks/ tickets which must be completed, however it is envisaged that ,as the workload increases ,further members of the team will be recruited, and over time your role will become that of team leader organising and ensuring that the team cover all the tasks set.

You should have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of team. You will be required to work across many types and locations of properties and will perform various general maintenance tasks such as small-scale plumbing , painting, cleaning, general building, and garden maintenance etc.

You should have good timekeeping & organisational skills and ensure that you and your future team prepare correctly in advance regarding the necessary supplies and materials required by the task / ticket in question .

Job Responsibilities

• Complete multi-disciplined types of maintenance and repairs both inside and outside designated properties such as, plumbing, plastering, carpentry, groundwork and painting.
• Ensure specified standard of work is maintained and all site logs, records and documentation are kept up to date.
• In addition to carrying out maintenance tasks directly, also to oversee all maintenance activity carried out by other members of the team, providing on the job training, support and guidance to other members of the team.
• Monitoring the quality of the work carried out by the other members of the Maintenance Team through random audits.
• Exercising a good level of initiative and independence on site to resolve issues .
• Regular and timely communication with the Property Managers and if necessary, collaboration with workers and other professionals during designated works.
• Produce reports at regular intervals detailing physical and financial progress. Actively demonstrate performance utilising internal benchmarking processes to develop areas for continuous improvement
• Providing first line management of HR issues in relation to the Maintenance Team .
• Be willing and able to drive company vehicle responsibly to properties .
• Ensure all hand and power tools used by the maintenance team comply with all relevant Health and Safety regulations and are stored in a safe and tidy manner.
• Be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your Manager or Health & Safety Representative.

Qualifications

• Ambitious and proactive with proven experience as General Maintenance Operative or other similar position.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team.
• Computer literate.
• Customer focused
• Team Player demonstrating flexibility
• Full, clean, drivers’ licence.
