Job Description Summary
**This is a home-based position with some travel. Candidates must live near a U.S. airport supporting flights by major commercial air transportation carriers.**
The MedKeeper project manager (PM) plans and coordinates the implementation of the MedKeeper suite of solutions. The PM works with project teams which include staff from BD and the customer, working in harmony with each other toward the common goal of an on-time, successful solution implementation. Activities include implementation project management, product installation, workflow and system design, configuration tasks, customer training, support, general customer relationship and partnering activities. The PM should possess obsessive attention to detail, exceptional organization skills and problem-solving ability. The PM is a mentor for both customers and internal team members.
MedKeeper creates cloud-based applications to help health care professionals better manage pharmacy processes and IV cleanroom workflows. MedKeeper has been named the KLAS Category Leader for IV Workflow Management year over year since 2017 as well as “Top Vendor-In-Use” by Pharmacy Purchasing and Products (PP&P) for its PharmacyKeeper Verification application in 2020.

Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Plan, kickoff and document all aspects of the project
Define (with client sponsors) project scope, goals and deliverables
Build custom modules based the customer’s feedback, workflow and processes.
Coordinate with other BD associates to achieve project landmarks
Conducting technical meetings with clients, and providing written and verbal communication between the internal and external teams
Create, manage and maintain project plans, while holding customers accountable to identified timelines
Monitor, report, and present progress of the project to all customers
Responsible to assist in client retention strategy
Help clients integrate our product into their routine processes
Assist end users with question and problems during business hours and during rotating on-call responsibilities
Act as a liaison between the client, integration and development teams to assist in resolving complex issues
Provide on-going account customization and support
Develop status reports of current implementations
Develop proficiency in troubleshooting client issues & identifying appropriate resources to resolve problems efficiently
Establish and implement operating procedures for product implementation and customer support to improve customer satisfaction
Collaborate/provide guidance to other project managers when necessary
Facilitation of conference calls and customer meetings for BD product implementations
Establish rapport with customers that is conducive to long-term business relationships
Provide team support and product information on BD products as assigned by manager
Mentors team members to ensure product and process competency
Must be able to manage complex customer teams, gain consensus within teams and deliver concise and consistent communication
Guides the review of customer site assessment and facilitates project design and implementation of BD products and technologies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Technical:
Demonstrates expert knowledge of hospital/IDN level pharmacy/clinical workflow processes, hospital formulary build, hospital & pharmacy system integration, clinical device settings, interface validation (ADT, billing, patient profile), user account role design, active directory
Completes pharmacy and clinical pre-implementation assessments and future state design
Ability to interact and guide diverse cross-functional teams
Demonstrates expertise of established BD product implementation methodologies and tools or equivalent industry standards
Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and the ability to implement complex multi-site projects consistent with established company and customer objectives.
Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to aid customers in improving current business/practice operations including standardization across large hospital and IDN level health systems.
Demonstrates advanced problem solving, troubleshooting and system consultation as it relates to pharmacy workflow and standard process considerations and health system standardization.
Installs and supports BD Medical Systems Dispensing software.
Mentors team members on products, best practices and customer education.
Expected to act as a customer support resource when vital.
Expert with BD Medication Systems Dispensing products.
Administrative:
Coordinates client resources and assign project tasks
Ability to actively lead projects
Timely completion of internal company documentation
Timely completion of project documentation
Determines work priorities
Possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
Experience or Equivalent:
A minimum of three years of hospital pharmacy experience is required. Significant IV clean room experience is required. Experience in relevant technology (e.g., BD Pyxis IV Prep, MedKeeper’s PharmacyKeeper, etc.) is preferred.
Working knowledge of hospital and pharmacy information systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.) is required
Deep knowledge of hospital pharmacy workflows is required
Minimum certifications required:

Physical:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting.
Work Environment:
Travel may range from 40-60% with overnight travel
Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends
Ability to work independently from home office
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards
