Lead Veterinary Receptionist

Summary: We are looking for a Lead Receptionist to join our growing team. This individual will be an integral part of the development of client relationships and will assist the Hospital Manager, Medical Director, and Lead Veterinary Technician in ensuring efficient hospital operations. Our ideal candidate will foster positive cross-departmental relationships.
Immediate Opening for experienced, outgoing, people friendly and pet friendly front desk receptionist at busy veterinary hospital. Must be honest, hardworking, good at multi-tasking, reliable, and presentable. Must be customer oriented and able to work with a team. Experience as veterinary receptionist is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee process of patient admissions and discharges
- Ensure that hospital flow is efficient and effective
- Collaborate closely with Lead Veterinary Technician, Hospital Manager, and Medical Director to determine opportunities for operational improvements
- Train all new reception Team Members
- Maintain strong understanding of veterinary products and medications, including prescription medications, veterinary diets, over-the-counter medications, and supplements
- Work with Marketing Team and Hospital Manager to review and respond to client concerns
- Checking patients in, discharging patients, invoicing
- Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
- Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages for doctors and staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Update and file patient charts
- Enter data into computerize billing program
- Retrieve prescriptions
- Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
- Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
- Retail sales
- Other duties as assigned
