As a Barclays Leveraged Loan Trading Desk Analyst, you will support the senior risk takers on the desk through fundamental credit analysis. You’ll have the chance to build financial models, present long/short ideas, engage the buy-side community and work on research and/or infrastructure improvement projects. This is an exciting opportunity for you to generate, develop and express actionable trade ideas.

Salary / Rate Minimum: $155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $250,000

What will you be doing?

• Monitoring financials and news flow for particular credits
• Using your understanding of fundamental credit to work with traders to develop trade ideas
• Conducting due diligence on potential credits (primary and secondary)
• Partnering with Sales, publishing research, and working on long-term research projects
• Performing fundamental credit analysis on specific credits and developing actionable investment ideas for both the trading desk and the loan account base
• Participating in earnings/ new issue credit calls, building financial models, and maintaining trading blotters

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in fundamental credit analysis
• Prior experience in the credit market with a focus on HY/leveraged loans
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg skills
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
