The Library Media Specialist is responsible for collaboratively overseeing and coordinating the day to day operations of the 7-12 grade library media center along with two other staff members.

Qualified applicants must be prepared to maintain, develop, and provide equitable access to a collection of literature reflective of the values and interests of a diverse student population and supportive of curriculum being taught throughout the school. Qualified candidates must be motivated to remain up-to-date on the latest trends in childrens and young adult literature as well as the best non-fiction resources in both print and digital formats to meet student needs. The Library Media Specialist also serves as the schools expert on best practices in conducting research and the ethical, lawful use of found information -- e.g. copyright and properly cited attribution.

This position will include some duties related to technology integration: helping staff and students access the appropriate digital tools to meet the needs of the curriculum.
