Interim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), specializing in pediatrics, to care for a child with a seizure disorder just outside of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Job details of the Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) include:

• Up to $26 per hour
• Hours: 11pm - 7am
• Location: Exeter, PA
• Weekly pay with option for Direct Deposit or Paper Check
• Health Insurance after 90 days

The Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides effective and efficient patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with the patient’s plan of care, applicable law and regulation, accepted standards of nursing practice, payor requirements and Interim HealthCare policies and procedures.

Essential Functions of the Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Participates in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of the patient.
• Participates in the development and evaluation of the plan of care in partnership with the patient, representative (if any), and caregiver(s).
• Recognizes and reports changes in the patient’s condition to the RN supervisor.
• Counsels and educates the patient and family in meeting healthcare related needs.
• Completes timely and accurate clinical notes including addressing patient’s progress.
• Assists the RN in carrying out the patient plan of care.
• Assists the client in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
• Follows accepted standards of nursing practice.

Minimum Requirements for the Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Graduate of a practical (vocational) nursing program for LPN/LVN and has a current license as a LPN/LVN in the state(s) in which he/she practices
• 1 year experience with pediatrics, preferred
• CPR certified, required
• willing to undergo preemployment screenings; physical, drug test, background checks, etc.
