Job Description: We are looking for responsible and enthusiastic Lifeguards to join our team this summer. Our outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Our Lifeguards will enjoy a collaborative, fun team environment and work to ensure the safety of our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing pool rules and safety regulations, providing for the safety of members and guests, and day-to-day maintenance and operation of the pool, locker rooms.
• Monitor use of the pool facility in accordance with policies and enforce all club rules and policies regarding pool use.
• Maintain knowledge of and enforce local and state health regulations, including, but not limited to, hygiene, contamination, and pool capacity regulations.
• Perform opening or closing procedures.
• Maintain overall safety by proactively identifying and resolving potential safety hazards.
• Complete and submitting accident reports forms upon occurrence, and any other written documentations as required by General Manager, Pool Manager, or Board of Directors.
• Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications

• Must have active lifeguard certification and/or previous lifeguarding experience.
• Must be a proficient swimmer.
• Must be available to work at least 24 hours per week and at least one weekend day
• Commitment to follow and enforcing rules and policies.
• Ability to interact positively with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.

Essential Functions of the Job. Ability to:

• Swim quickly and proficiently
• Lift and pull another swimmer out of the water
• Swim for extended periods of time with no flotation device
• Sit for prolonged periods of time in the sun

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.50 per hour
