Spring Creek Ranch is a private golf club located just North of Collierville. Spring Creek is currently recruiting additional cooks for immediate work. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off.
Line Cook prepares food in accordance with menu standards, following all health and safety guidelines. Ability to follow ticket orders with accuracy and speed. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clearly communicate at all times.
Job Summary: starting rate of pay $ 17
Qualifications and Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to the following. Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Two years of related experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Ability to formulate recipes
- Ability to operate the following equipment is required: convection and conventional oven, fryer, broiler, salamander, slice, mixer, food processor, dish washer
- Ability to maintain quality standards of food service by preparing and presenting menu items according to company standards and supervisor’s direction in multiple stations
- Ensure clean and orderly workspace by adhering to public health codes, sanitation, and safety policies
- Properly portion, marinate, and rotate stock on all center of plate proteins
- Verify product stock and rotate as necessary, informing supervisor of item or equipment that needs to be ordered; may be responsible for ordering at supervisor’s discretion
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and/any other cooking station
- Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods
- Complete approved closing duties at the end of each day by organizing, cleaning, and sanitizing workspace, ensuring all equipment is turned off and refrigeration units locked
- Maintains effective communication skills by interacting professionally with co-workers.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
- Other duties may be assigned by management
