LOAN SERVICING REPRESENTATIVE – LOAN ORIGINATION

OVERVIEW:
Performs a variety of loan servicing and related administrative and clerical functions in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.
1. Work with branches, originators and departments to ensure timely set up and disbursement of all new loans (Commercial, Consumer, and Residential) on core system, ensuring accurate data input and processes necessary ticket work.
2. Initial review of loan closing packages ensuring required compliant documents have been received.
3. Process changes on the core system for loan modifications, prepare proper field adjustment form, scan and file documents.
4. Submission of monthly Commercial Credit Reporting for SBA accounts. Monthly review and correction (if applicable) of consumer credit reporting in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
5 Serves as back up on the loan sale process for all Investors; including but not limited to: delivery, funding processing, prefunding document review and submission. Ensures that all funds owed to CGB are requested and received.
6. Assists CGB customers whose loan is sold servicing released. Coordinates with all service released investors proper payment credit and credit reporting for all affected borrowers.
7. Perform daily accounting entries and produce monthly trial balance for Suspense Accounts and CHFA Unallocated. Verify various portal reports as requested. Balance loan trial balances and investor reporting as required.
8. Performs a variety of processing activities including; but not limited to, payments, corrections, payoffs and other departmental transactions. Balances teller totals daily; as well as rotating responsibility for end of day processing.
9. Prepare, scan, and index loan documents as required. Ensure quality of image. Provide progress report.
10. Always provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers; follows up to resolve problems and questions. Refers the more difficult inquiries or complex research issues/decisions to supervisor.
11. Keeps abreast of developments within the loan servicing field. Attends relevant courses and seminars.
12. May back up other positions in Loan Servicing as needed.
13. Promotes the Bank’s products and services and maintains an active participation in community affairs.
14. Responsible for adhering to bank policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function.
15. Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree preferred with at least two years loan related experience. Strong organizational, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills required. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail required. Good understanding of the Bank lending products. Must have a working knowledge of various computer programs.

INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures. May resolve some problems rather than referring them on.
COMPLIANCE:
Responsible for adhering to Bank policies and procedures relating to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Fair Lending.
