We are currently seeking a Logistics Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in New Holland. As a Production Supervisor you will provide leadership to employees and support the plant’s continuous improvement processes by analyzing challenges and facilitating solutions. Effective communication skills to promote teamwork and drive excellent employee relations is a must. As the Production Supervisor you will direct and coordinate the work of a full-time and agency workforce to meet production schedules and achieve safety excellence as well as quality, cost, schedule, inventory and team objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Support our hay and forage implement manufacturing facility.
  • Promote and drive a culture of safety and quality excellence within the assigned teams.
  • Support and utilize lean manufacturing tools and methodology to assist with Margin Improvement initiatives and other strategic business objectives.
  • Train/develop, coach, and hold accountable assigned team members to resolve work issues and optimize departmental efficiency, effectiveness and balanced work flow.
  • Reinforce the Code of Conduct and model appropriate leadership behaviors
  • Assign work and special projects to employees to develop employee skillsets and enhance flexibility.
  • Work with production planning staff to schedule work to ensure current work and customer requirements are met.
  • Lead projects and prepare resultant reports that have significant influence and assist with driving sound business decisions.
  • Analyze and utilize quality reports/processes to determine root causes and make necessary corrections to achieve established quality standards.
  • Requisition supplies/tools, etc. and subcontract work as needed to insure schedule adherence.
  • Develop and administer operating budget and monitor results to assure department objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or technical discipline OR
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline plus three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience OR
  • High School Diploma/GED plus five (5) or more years of manufacturing experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work from 6:30am-3:00pm, and overtime as needed.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • General solid understanding of manufacturing techniques and lean manufacturing tools.

The annual salary for this role is $62,000 - $90,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
