We are looking for a Microsoft 365 Release Coordinator (RC) to be responsible for assisting with the management and coordination of the release cadence for Microsoft products such as Windows 10 and Office 365 in order to ensure effective business engagement and readiness, and to minimise operational disruption. This is a global role supporting all Zurich countries and regions.
The Workforce Experience Team within Zurich’s IT Services organisation provides operational service delivery and governance for IT End User Services. The operational services in scope include Service Desk, Desktop Platform, Deskside Services, Mobility, Mail and Messaging and O365 services, delivered through a combination of in house and outsourced suppliers
The Release management team has global responsibility and ownership for the management of user impacting releases across the enterprise ensuring the smooth delivery of change into the Zurich organization and managing the performance of relevant suppliers.
Your Role

As a M365 Release Coordinator your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
  • Review and process releases from Microsoft, to assist in the interpretation for a Zurich audience
  • The RC will be required to deliver a number of ITIL processes in a professional manner
  • Assist the M365 Release Managers to prepare for upcoming releases.
  • Help to facilitate the communication to end users on changes to the service and adoption of best practice
  • Interfaces with the business to manage members of each deployment ring testing, gaining feedback from users in each ring prior to deploying to next ring
  • Monitor Changes from Microsoft and assist the Release Manager in performing appropriate impact assessment, testing and deployment
  • Collates changes from the product teams including any on premise changes
  • Includes relevant activities for Windows, Office Online, desktop, Mobile Apps, Microsoft Store, SCCM, Global Apps, Intune Policy and desktop GPO’s.
  • Maintains the Forward Schedule of Releases. Owns the global release workflows for Win10 and O365 releases.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure global release deployment SLA is met and publish deployment reports.
  • Attend Change Management CAB’s and deployment planning meetings to ensure release phases are executed as planned.
  • Chair weekly forward schedule release meetings for O365 Cloud and desktop GPO’s.
  • Review the Zurich collaboration networks to respond to questions on releases and proactively communicate upcoming features
  • Work with the communications team and the Product Owners to ensure the relevant communications are produced for major stakeholders and end users

Your Skills & Experience

As a M365 Release Coordinator your skills and qualifications will include:
  • Experience in Information Technology, preferably familiar with the M365 suite of applications
  • University Degree or equivalent or specific relevant working experience
  • Understanding of Windows and O365 environments and technologies including knowledge of key products such as Exchange, Teams, Office and OneDrive
  • Knowledge of Windows and O365 configurations, tools, processes and operations, Intune an advantage
  • Ability to consult and advise on Win10 and O365 related change and project activities
  • Understanding of Windows and O365 project and major change activity such as patching, version upgrades, operational fixes and rollouts
  • Show aptitude for change and constant learning and promote / encourage colleagues to embrace the toolsets we are supporting.

Additional Information

Primary work location is Blackrock based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
