Direct Hire Openings in Elgin, IL!

We are hiring for direct-hire positions in Elgin, IL. We are looking for both experienced and entry level candidates!

Available Openings:

• 2nd & 3rd Shift Opportunities
• Pay: $19.00-21.00 + Shift Differential depending on position, shift & experience.
• Shift Differential: Up to $2.50-$3.00 more based on shift

Header Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate hoist/crane. (Capacity -2.5 ton.)
• Daily Crane Inspection
• Daily Header Machine Inspection
• Load two-ton coil
• Point wire end, feed wire through to wire draw machine to header machine
• Inspect Wire. (Before feed/After feed)
• Do Tooling adjustments, run machine to make samples
• Quality check of Ball. (Use point micrometer, microscope, etching procedure)
• Fill out Daily report
• Use barcode system to issue wire on machine & do completions
• Use Hand jack/Forklift to transport materials
• Perform Tooling change- Quill, Cutter, Heading die, Finger change
• Type change for different size
• Machine Trouble Shooting
• Machine Maintenance
• Turn on Coolant, Air, and Mist collector
• 5S/3D
• Need to run three header machines per person

Grinder Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Load/unload in tumbler machine
• Run Tumbler machine
• Unload and move material to the next process
• Machine maintenance
• Crane operation & daily check (tumbler)
• Use hand jack and forklift
• Use barcode for completions
• Crane operation & daily check (grinding. 1Ton)
• Load material (800 Kg)
• Start main coolant system
• Turn on machine coolant
• Startup machine
• Quality check (measure using dial gauge)
• Fill out daily report
• Tooling change (plate, wheel, comb, in chute, out chute)
• Maintenance: check hydraulic system, lube oil, dresser unit
• Machine trouble shooting
• 5S/3D: Pick up dropped parts, clean oil leaks
• Lapping (L23). Coolant tank clean up
• Brush washer machine: operation, maintenance (oil/filter, change, clean and fill oil tank
• Material Handling-washer to conveyor
• Mix L23 oil
• Dresser body adjustment: wheel/plate depth check, change diamond
• Separate material
• Run three lines plus washer per person

Skills and Abilities

• Read and measure using gauges, following quality standards & work instructions
• Ability to solve practical problems as they apply to production machinery
• Communicate well with others

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Physical Requirements

• Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
