Job Role:
Providing competence in area of expertise by advising and carrying-out specialized activities related to manufacturing and technology area as required for MPD projects performed in the Americas. In this position, you will be expected to perform the work according to agreed technical objectives and milestones and within the time and budget frames such that Customer satisfaction is achieved, and a positive contribution is made to our financial result. You will have the opportunity to represent SKF externally, maintaining and developing close links with SKF factories, suppliers, and other key R&D organizations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an outstanding capability to understand and apply existing and new technology on SKF products and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out assigned projects and activities to be performed in the area of own expertise.
- Find new opportunities in the field of expertise that can lead to cost and or sales improvements.
- Ensure results are reported to project leaders/managers and followed-up at the Customer to secure an effective implementation.
- Take part in (multi-disciplinary) project teams that can benefit from the position holder’s expertise and experience.
- Participate in the drive for quality improvements on general and technical working processes used in the MPD and Factories.
- Take part in strategic discussion in a specific technology area, which should take SKF into the future.
- Act as a role model and mentor within own area of expertise.
- Act as a consultant in discussion with the different clusters/factories in the area of competence.
- Follow management instructions and procedures.
- Report Environment Health and Safety (EHS) risks and EHS related incidents.
- Follow quality specifications and requirements to identify quality risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop new products, services, and processes adding value to SKF product range or reducing cost for their manufacture.
- Create and promote a learning environment in which everyone is engage and contributes to long-term personal and business growth.
- Engage the breadth of own knowledge and experience to project and compelling vision to future scenarios.
- Act as a sponsor for projects.

- Project Management: understand Project Management methodologies and be able to contribute to and manage smaller projects. Be able to drive activities (ability to drive change release).
