Machine Tool Builder Job Description
Machine Tool Builder exists to support the Mechanical Integration Tech II in the complete mechanical assembly of SPA engineered systems, in support of SPA’s corporate mission, goals, and guiding principles.
The Machine Tool Builder receives direction from both the Mechanical Tech II and/or the Project Leader. The Machine Tool Builder is responsible for completing assigned tasks thoroughly and completely in a timely manner following SPA standards.
- Assisting with System layout on integration floor
- Mounting robots in/on system
- Installing mechanical details
- Following SPA torquing procedures
- Drilling and tapping in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
- Overall system cleanliness
- System tear down and packaging
- Loading system and miscellaneous pallets trucks
- Maintaining a neat and organized work area
- Cleaning systems and preparing for customer visits
Machine Tool Builder Requirements for Hire
- High School Diploma/GED
- Possess valid driver’s license
- Possess or be willing and able to get passport for international travel
- 4 years machine build experience
- Possess own tools and rolling toolbox
- Self-motivated
- Ability read engineered build drawings
- Have experience using overhead crane and rigging techniques
- Have experience using forklift
- Ability to communicate issues in a professional manner.
- Flexibility to work off shifts including nights as required
- Must be willing to travel out of state and internationally via land or air
- Must be able to pass Drug Test that INCLUDES THC/Marijuana
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check - no misdemeanors or felonies
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
